06Oct2016 - Incident Hobie Beach

Coastal Water Rescue was activated at 6:46am after a report was received via the Water Emergency Rescue Committee (WERC) that the 10111 center reported a drowning in progress at Hobie Beach.

On arrival the squad met up with members from the Beach Office and EMS Rescue, and it was established that the person had made it safely to the beach and had already left the scene.

A stand down was issued to our squad members at 7:05am. Thank you to everybody that responded.
