Coastal Water Rescue

For over 30 years, Coastal Water Rescue has existed in different forms, but with the same mission: to provide a rapid response team for water-related emergencies and rescues in and around Nelson Mandela Bay.

Coastal Water Rescue is a registered Non-profit Organisation (NPO 082-977 East Cape Coastal Water Rescue) that consists of volunteers with different skill sets, such as swimming, lifesaving, admin and even communication. These volunteers are on stand-by 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – allowing us to respond to a water emergency quickly so that we can rescue as many people from drownings as possible.

Rapid response to water-related emergencies and working with and supporting other emergency services is what we do.
