31Oct2015 - Near drowning Pollock Beach

On Saturday 31 Oct 2015, CWR Squad responded to a near downing at Pollock beach. A female swimmer was in distress. Body boarders and lifeguards from Summerstrand Surf Lifesaving Club brought her safely to shore. She was unresponsive. A member of CWR initiated CPR with the assistance of Gardmed. The female was successfully resuscitated and was transported to hospital to be checked by a medical facility for secondary drowning. All rescue services on scene are to be commended for a well professional and coordinated rescue which resulted in another life saved.
