23Sep2015 - Drowning Brighton Beach

At 14:10 the CWR squad was activated after reports of a drowning in progress at Brighton Beach. On arrival it was established that a member of the the public managed to pull the patient out and CPR was started. Unfortunately resuscitation attempts were not successful and the scene was handed over the SAPS. CWR, Beach Office, BWBLSC, SAPS/SAPS Dive Unit and EMS responded. Our condolences to the family of the victim.
