11Sep2015 - Booysens Park Incident

At 14:23 CWR was activated with a drowning in progress in Booysens Park. Two children crossed a river with the one carrying the younger one. During crossing they fell, and in the process the younger child was swept away in the current. All emergency organisations responded and a search was done of the river area where the incident took place. Unfortunately the victim was not recovered and the search will be continued by the SAPS S&R.
CWR, EMS, Fire, SAPS Divers, Beach Office was on scene. Our condolences to the family of the victim.
