Drowning Swartkops River

At approximately 3pm on Sunday 26th July 2015 Coastal Water Rescue, SAPS, Police divers and Search & Rescue responded in a joint effort to rescue an 11 year old boy who had been swimming with 5 friends in the Swartkops River under the N2 Bridge and was presumed missing. Sadly After a short search the body of the 11 year old was recovered by the police diver. Credit goes to all Rescue units on scene for a well coordinated Rescue. Our condolences to the family for their loss.
