Kings Beach Kite Surfer

At 18h17 on Saturday 24th January 2015, Coastal Water Rescue was alerted to a possible drowning at King's Beach Harbour wall. A female eye witness had reportedly noticed a kite surfer who the witness presumed may have been in trouble as he had fallen off his kite surfer.

The witness ran to the supertubes to alert the kings beach lifesavers who contacted Coastal Water Rescue, NSRI SAPS, Fire, Beach Office and EMS who all arrived promptly on scene. On arrival at the harbour wall members of all Rescue teams were informed that the kite surfer had apparently already left the water and returned home.
