30Aug2024 - Swimmers reported in trouble - Beachview

On Friday, August 30, 2024, the CWR squad was activated to respond to the area between Beachview and Maitlands following a report from a passing cyclist of two possible swimmers in distress.

Upon arrival, a visual search of the immediate area was conducted by all the services on scene. There was a lot of dolphin activity in the area at the time.

After approximately one hour of scanning the ocean, the squad was stood down.
