01Nov2022 - Drowning PE Golf Club
01 November 2022The CWR squad was activated on Tuesday 01 November 2022 following reports of a drowning in progress at the Port Elizabeth Golf Club in Mill Park. Two CWR members were very close to the location and immediately responded to the reported location.
On arrival the CWR members noted that the casualty had been located and that CPR was in progress, but on the island, they swam across to assist with the CPR.
The CWR Rescue Croc was launched to assist with retrieving the casualty back to the scene where Gardmed was standing by to take over the emergency medical care.
CPR continued while the Gardmed staff was working, but unfortunately the resuscitation efforts was not successful, and the casualty was declared deceased.
