28Aug2022 - Capsized boat Swartkops River Mouth

Today while the squad was finishing up after a training session at Hobie Beach, a report was received from the Water Emergency Rescue Committee that a boat had capsized in the Swartkops River Mouth, and the CWR squad was activated to respond.

On arrival, it was established that there were no casualties in the water and that they had all safely made it to shore, and the that the boat was on shore, it happened just as the BWBLSC Rescue Squad finished their training session enabling them to be on the scene immediately after the incident. NSRI Station 6 responded with Rescue 6A from the harbour.
