15Jan2022 - Recovery Smelly Creek

On Saturday 15 Jan 2022 members of Coastal Water Rescue was despatched back to Smelly Creek to assist the SAPS with the recovery of the drowning victim of the previous weekend. This is not typically within the mandate of Coastal Water Rescue, but during that time the SAPS divers were deployed in the East London area for flooding assistance. 

The body of the drowning victim was recovered by CWR members and the SAPS and handed over.
