22 October 2020The CWR squad was activated on Thursday 22 Oct at 11H14 following reports of a drowning in progress on the Addo Road, opposite Motherwell.
On arrival, it was found that the incident had take place at least one hour prior. The incident had taken place in a small natural dam on the side of the road.
Children had been swimming in the dam when one of the children (about 11 years old) got into trouble.
The SAPS Divers and SAR units also responded. The divers found the casualty shortly after starting the search.
