The CWR squad was activated at 18:24 tonight after reports of a drowning in progress near the Swartkops Yacht Club.

On arrival at the scene a one patient was found in the water clinging to one of the poles of an old jetty. It appears that the patient entered the water near the yacht club and got into trouble, but managed to stay afloat and eventually grabbed the pole to hold onto.

The patient managed to get to the side and we assisted in lifting the patient out of the water. No further assistance was required and a stand down was issued to the squad.
