08Apr2018 - Missing Scuba Divers Cape Recife

At 10:00 on 8 April was the CWR squad activated to assist with a shore search after reports received from the NSRI about 2 missing scuba divers.

The responding CWR initiated a shore search in the area around the Cape Recife Lighthouse. 

The divers had been separated from the rest of the dive group, and the alarm was raised by their dive master. 

They were located after an extensive search by the NSRI and private craft approximately 8km from the original dive location, in good health and spirits. The divers were picked up by the NSRI craft Spirit of Toft.
