24Apr2017 - Near drowning Hobie Beach

Coastal Water Rescue activated the squad at 17:04 today after a report received from WERC (Water Emergency Rescue Committee) about a drowning in progress at Hobie Beach. On arrival it was noted that private individuals managed to assist the victim, and managed to get him to shore where he was handed over to a team from Netcare 911, for transportation to hospital for further medical care.

A stand down was issued to the squad.
