26Feb2017 - Drowning St Georges Beach

On Sunday 26 Feb 2017, at 9:45am Coastal Water Rescue was activated following reports of a drowning in progress at Wells Estate. En route to the scene was further information received that it was in fact at St Georges Beach and not Wells Estate.

Before arrival on scene did we receive confirmation that the victim was out of the water, but unfortunately did not survive and a stand down was issued to the squad.

Services on scene: NMB EMS, EMS College, Beach Office, BWBLSC, CWR, NSRI Station 6 on standby.
